"Wish You Were Here (50th Anniversary)" ofrece a los fans una nueva y emocionante perspectiva de uno de los álbumes más icónicos y populares de Pink Floyd. La edición del 50 aniversario incluye varios discos de rarezas - en el corazón de esta colección especial son seis versiones alternativas inéditas y demos que presentan el octavo álbum de estudio de Pink Floyd de una manera totalmente nueva e invitan a repetir las escuchas.

Este conjunto contiene un Blu-ray con una mezcla Dolby Atmos creada por primera vez por James Guthrie, así como 25 pistas extra, incluyendo nueve rarezas de estudio y 16 grabaciones en directo realizadas por el famoso contrabandista Mike Millard en el concierto de Pink Floyd en el Los Angeles Sports Arena el 26 de abril de 1975, que ahora se publican oficialmente por primera vez. El sonido en directo ha sido cuidadosamente restaurado y remasterizado por Steven Wilson. El Blu-ray también ofrece a los fans la oportunidad de ver tres películas de conciertos de la gira de 1975 de la banda, así como un cortometraje de Storm Thorgerson.
